Definitions:

  • A liquid mixture of two or more substances that boils at a constant characteristic temperature lower or higher than any of its components and that retains the same composition in the vapor state as in the liquid state.
  • A <xref>mixture</xref> of two or more substances whose <xref>liquid</xref> and <xref>gaseous</xref> forms have the same <xref>composition</xref> (at a certain <xref>pressure</xref>); the substances cannot be <xref>separated</xref> by normal <xref>distillation</xref>.
