colloquium

Definitions:

  • An informal meeting for the exchange of views.
  • An academic seminar on a broad field of study, usually led by a different lecturer at each meeting.
  • In <em>law</em>, that part of the complaint or declaration in an action for defamation which shows that the words complained of were spoken concerning the plaintiff.
